Self Help Groups – “Muktangna Yojana”

Self Help Group (SHG-GSP) – Empowering Rural Women in India for Better Future:

Strengthening Rural Women, Strengthening Rural Communities:

Muktangna Yojana:

Team Gramonnati Seva Pratishthan, We believe that when women are strong and independent, the whole community becomes stronger.
Our Self Help Group (SHG) program helps women in Rural Areas in India become financially independent, start small businesses, and support each other like a family.

Through SHGs, women save money together, take small loans, and create better future for their families.

What Is a Self Help Group (SHG)?

A Self Help Group (SHG) is a small group of women from Rural Areas in India who come together to save money, share ideas, and support one another.

These SHG groups help women learn how to manage money, take loans, and grow small businesses.

Team Gramonnati Seva Pratishthan,  helps & motivate BPL women form SHGs, train them to handle finances, and guide them so they can make confident decisions for their families and communities.

Our SHG Activities:

1. Formation and Training

We help women in villages form Self Help Groups and teach them how to save money, keep records, and work together. We also train them in leadership so they can manage their groups independently.

2. Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

We conduct regular training programs in Tailoring, Dairy Work, Food Processing, handicrafts, and other skills. These help women earn income and support their families.

3. Market Linkage and Promotion

We help SHG women sell their products in Local Markets, Fairs, and Exhibitions. This ensures they get fair prices and gain confidence as business owners.

Our Impact:

Over the years, Gramonnati Seva Pratishthan has helped form and support many Self Help Groups in Rural Areas in India.

  • SHGs Formed: 500+
  • Women Empowered: 6,000+
  • Improved Livelihoods: 80% of members report higher income and better living standards

Many women who were once homemakers are now successful entrepreneurs.

For example, one group of women started a small dairy business in their village, which now supplies milk to nearby towns — a true story of teamwork and empowerment.

Working Together for Change:

We believe that Real  Hange Happens when Everyone works Together.
Our SHG programs grow stronger through partnerships with Banks, Government Schemes, and CSR projects.
We also organize Workshops on Financial literacy, Leadership, and Equality, helping women gain knowledge and confidence.
